Make Your Own Pattern Paper

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  It has been awhile since I have posted.  Life is crazy right now, with getting back into the swing of work, school beginning soon, and changes in other life things.  I have a craft fair coming up this weekend that I am also trying to prepare for.

So, today, I am going to share with you a quick "tip".  Most of you may already know this, some of you may even do this yourselves.  Today's tip is: when you don't have pattern paper on hand or don't have one that coordinates with the stamp set that you really want to use, no need to fret or wish you had some.  Just make some!

I enjoy making my own pattern paper for various reasons.  My top two reasons are because I like being able to make it the way I want it to look, and because it is relaxing to me to just stamp.  When I am stamping pattern paper, I am not worried about how a card is turning out, if this matches that, if I have things straight, etc.  I can just stamp and see where it takes me.

On Saturday, I did my very first FB Live.  It was pretty quick, and I was super nervous.  I hope that you will go check it on on my FB page when you have a chance.  This is where I did an example of making your own pattern paper!   I started with a 12x12 piece of whisper white and the Peaceful Boughs stamp set.  I used Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede ink pads.  You can fill in your pattern paper as much or as little as you like.  I didn't want to have it overflowing, this time, so I left a good amount of space, but not so much that there isn't enough images either.

After I was done stamping, I cut my 12x12 piece down to 6x6.  I will use this to make some cards or another project in the future!  You can leave your s as 12x12, or you can even begin with a different size altogether.

Ridiculously Awesome Card

 Hello there!  Today I am showing you my latest card using the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set and Many Layered Blossoms dies.

 How to:

I used rich Razzleberry as my card base.  I also used two other layers: Crushed Curry, and Basic Black.  I used the stamp set Ridiculously Awesome to stamp my sentiment onto the basic black using versa mark ink and heat embossed that white embossing powder.  I then added some Tear & Tape to the back of the black panel, as the panel warped and I find that this works best.  I die cut several of the small individual flowers from the Many Layered Blossoms dies using our new Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  I then adhered these pieces onto my black panel, focusing on two opposite corners and adding just a bit to the other corners.  I then adhered the black panel to the Crushed Curry panel and then popped the entire piece up onto the card base.  I also added a Whisper White piece inside for future stamping or writing.

Dimensions:

8.5" X 5.5" Rich Razzleberry
5.25" X 4" Crushed Curry
5" X 3.75" Basic Black
5.25" X 4" Whisper White (for the inside)

Gorgeous Posies Card Kit

 Have you ever thought, I would love to make some cards, but I am not creative?  Or, I don't have the time to create my own design for a card?  Or, perhaps, I'd love to make some cards, but I have never done it in my life and I have no idea where to start!?

Well, this is where a card kit comes in handy!  There are several cad kits offered by Stampin' Up! and today I am going to share just one of those with you.

This kit is easy to put together and makes gorgeous cards.  The kit is not all-inclusive though, which can be hard if you are a first time stamper or card maker.  But that's OK!  If you love this kit, I would be happy to help you with getting what you need to complete the cards.

So let's jump right in!

This card kit is called Gorgeous Posies.  It makes 16 cards with 4 designs.  It has envelopes, card bases, panels, ribbon, baker's twine, and die cut pieces are all provided.  You will need adhesive, a sentiment stamp set or the coordinating stamp set (which is sold separately), ink and a stamp block.  You can also use some dimensionals to give some depth/height but they aren't required.

The directions that come with this are super basic.  Basically, they show you the finished card and give some numbers that coordinate with directions of what adhesive or ink to use where.  You don't even need to use the numbers that are shown if you just look at the pictures.

These are the cards when they are finished.

If you are like me, you will likely want to add something inside.  I just stamped a coordinating image inside mine.  But, you can certainly leave them blank!

One last thing.  My favorite part of this kit is the box that all the materials come in.  It is gorgeous and very solid!  It would make a fantastic gift for someone, or keep it to use for yourself!  I'll likely use mine to store something crafty in!  Here's the box:

Card Using the Lovely You Bundle

 Hello!  It is another beautiful day and I am here to share with you my latest card!  This card features the Lovely You Bundle.  When I first saw this bundle, I immediately knew I had to have it.  Mainly because of the awesome punch.

So, on with the information for this card!

How to:

Using the Night of Navy card panel, I stamped one of the images from the Lovely You stamp set in a border around the edges using Versamark.  I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Next, set this panel aside to work on the white card panel. On this card panel, I randomly stamped the image I used for the border along with another image from the Lovely You stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy.  Next, I adhered these panels together and added them to my white card base.  I then punched a piece of Night of Navy card stock and Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Lovely Labels punch. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp using Night of Navy and adhered the two labels together.  I then popped the whole label up using dimensionals.  I added two pieces from the In Good Taste Elements using glue dots and tucked them behind the label.  My finishing touch was a piece of white baker's twine, wrapped twice around the top and tied into a bow (which is retired).

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Whisper White cardstock folded and scored at 4.25"
* 5.25" x 4' Night of Navy cardstock
* 4.25" x 3" Whisper White cardstock
* .75" x 4" Night of Navy cardstock
* .50" x 3.5" Daffodil Delight cardstock

Many Layered Blossoms Card

Hello!  I hope everyone is doing well today!  The weather is cooler here than it has been for awhile, which is lovely.

Today's card was made using a variety of products, but features the Blossoms in Bloom dies.

How to:

Using the Stitched Rectangle dies, I chose the largest and 3rd largest dies and placed them on Rich Razzleberry cardstock to make a frame and ran it through my cutting machine.  Using the new Rainbow Glimmer Paper, I die cut the inside piece of the Many Layered Blossoms dies.  I used Basic Black to cut the outline of the dies.  I adhered the black outline to the rainbow piece.  Then, adhered the frame onto the Whisper White card base and then the large Many Layered Blossoms die cut.  I took a strip of basic black, and stamped "smile" from the Lovely You stamp set in versa mark, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I trimmed the ends of the sentiment strip using the Lovely You punch and then adhered it to the card using some mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Dimensions:

*  8.5" x 5.5" Whisper White cardstock, scored and folded at 4.25"
*  0.5" x 4" Basic Black strip
* Piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock- approximately 4" x 5.25" (to die cut the frame)
* A piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper to fit the large Blossoms in Bloom die
* A piece of Basic Black to fit the outline of the Blossoms in Bloom die
