Textures and Frames- Sale-A-Bration time!

Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today I'm going to share a card with you using a stamp set that is in the current Sale-A-Bration brochure.  This stamp set can be used for so many things!  As it is a part of Sale-A-Bration, it can only be received (for FREE!) when you place a $50 (retail) order in my online store.  (Please be sure to use the hostess code for any orders under $150.  CODE: H6J4U9ZT)

Let's go ahead and get started.  Keep in mind, that if you watch my video, the directions here may be a bit different than in the video.  That's OK!  The order doesn't always have to be exact, depending on the project.

How to:

The dimensions for the card are listed below.  Using those dimensions, cut and fold the papers needed. It is time to stamp!  Using the stamp that looks like a paint splatter, you will randomly stamp all over your medium sized basic white card stock, and along the edge of your largest piece of Basic white (I did the bottom edge, you can do any edge you like.) I started with my lightest ink color, which was Fresh Freesia.  I then used Polished Pink, then ended with Bermuda Bay.  On the smallest piece of basic white, I stamped the rectangular frame in Polished Pink, then stamped the splatter in the center of the frame in Fresh Freesia.  I did second generation stamping for that splatter!  I didn't want it to be too dark, as my sentiment is going to go here.  Now, stamp your sentiment in StazOn Black.  I used the You're so cool stamp from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.  You can use whatever sentiment you have that fits!  remember that StazOn ink dries fast, so close your ink pad right away and stamp as soon as you have inked up!

Now that all the stamping is done, let's put the card together.  Adhere the sentiment piece to its Bermuda Bay mat, then adhere that to its basic black mat.  Now place some dimensionals on the back and set aside.  Adhere the largest basic white piece that you stamped only along the edge to the inside.  Adhere the middle sized basic white stamped piece to its black mat.

Now, using the black baker's twine from the essentials pack, wrap around the large outside stamped piece three times.  Adhere the twine to the back to keep it in place and space the twine apart a bit on both sides.  (See picture or video.)  Now, adhere the whole piece to the card base, then adhere the sentiment piece to the center of the twine.

Your card is complete!

Penguin Place Bundle and DSP

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today I'm going to share a card with you that is quick and easy, making DSP the star of the card!

Die cut a piece of Fresh Freesia with one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies and set aside.  (See the image below to know which one I used.) Adhere the largest piece of DSP to the top of your card base. I used liquid glue as I feel it gives a bit of time to move the paper around if needed.  Next, adhere the next largest piece of DSP to the bottom of the card base, butting it right up against the other piece.  Now, adhere one of the Be Dazzling strips along the seam of the two DSP pieces.  About 1/4 of an inch above that strip, adhere your second Be Dazzling strip.

Now, you will use your penguin builder punch to punch out a penguin from the Penguin Playmates DSP.  (One of the sheets has penguins that fit the punch perfectly.)  Set aside your punched out penguin while you do some quick stamping.

Stamp your sentiment in black memento ink, onto the label die cut.  I used the one that says "I like you a lottle" and stamped it near the top of the die cut.  Inside your card, stamp the sentiment "it's like a little, except a lot."  Adhere your penguin using dimensionals to the die cut and then adhere the die cut to your card, also using dimensionals.

Your card is complete!

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Thick Basic White card stock, folded at 4.25"
* 4.25" x 4.25" DSP of choice
* 1.25" x 4.25" DSP of choice
* .25" x 4.25" Be Dazzling DSP  (you need 2 of these)
* a scrap piece (about 2" x 2.5") of Fresh Freesia card stock

Peaceful Cabin- Wishing You the Best

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today I'm going to share a card with you that is quick and easy, though it does have a bit of measuring and cutting to it.  This card can be used for many occasions, and would make a great card for anyone!  The layout for this card was a card sketch I found online some time ago.  I don't have the information on where I found it, but the dimensions are listed below.

Adhere the five pieces of DSP to your card base using some Seal (or adhesive of your choice). Set aside.  Emboss the Shaded Spruce piece using the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere this piece to the Basic Gray piece.  I used Seal. Using a blending brush (or sponge or dauber) blend a small amount of Basic Gray around the sides of the small Basic White piece where your sentiment will go.  In Shaded Spruce, stamp your sentiment.  I used the "Wishing you the best" one from the Peaceful Cabin stamp set. Stamp the cabin from that same stamp set onto the larger Basic White piece.  I tried to place it a bit above the center so that my sentiment piece wouldn't cover too much of the cabin image when put together.  Now adhere some dimensionals to the back of this stamped image piece and place onto the Shaded Spruce piece that is embossed, towards the left side.  (See image for placement.)  Add the sentiment piece in the lower right of the cabin, overlapping to the embossed piece.  I used some Seal on the left side of the sentiment piece and a dimensional on the right.  (See video for better understanding.)

Now add this entire panel too your card base.  You may adhere it however you choose, dimensionals, Seal, liquid glue- the choice is yours!

Your card is complete!
