Pretty Perennials- Happy Birthday

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today I have a quick card using the Pretty Perennials Stamp set, which is a million dollar set that was designed by my direct upline, Dena Rekow.  This is a great set to make beautiful, bright happy cards with!

Let's get started.

How To:

First, without explanation, you will need to make your own pattern paper, or use a pattern paper that you like.  I made one using the Pretty Perennials stamp set then cut it into the sizes I needed to make this card.  Next, cut your card stock to the dimensions below.  Stamp your sentiment on the small basic white piece using flirty flamingo and StazOn Black, plus add a small balmy blue flower to this as well (see image).  Next, stamp the small flower from top right to bottom left on your card base.  Adhere the pattern paper piece to the matching mat, and the sentiment to its' matching mat.  Adhere the pattern piece to the card base, and then place dimensionals on the sentiment piece and pop that over the pattern piece.  Use black matte dots to add a little something-something.  I placed mine over the blue flowers that are on the card base and the sentiment piece (see image).  The card is now complete!  Check out my video here if like to watch cards be made.

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Balmy Blue card stock, folded in half at 4.25"

Make and Mail Monday #4- Sand and Sea Suite

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today's blog post is Make and Mail #4 which features the Sand and Sea Suite.  I love this suite and waited a long time to get all the parts (as it was on backorder).  But it is SO WORTH the wait!  If you don't have this suite, I suggest you go get it now, as it is only available until the end of June.  I don't see how it can disappoint!

Let's get started with the card.

How To:

Cut and fold your papers according to the dimensions below.  Adhere the Sahara sand paper to the card base, straight on.  Adhere the Flirty Flamingo piece at a slight angle.  Next, stamp all your images.  I stamped the sand dollar in Sahara sand, on Sahara sand card stock.  I stamped the small sea shell in Soft Seafoam, on Soft Seafoam card stock.  I did a bit of blending of So Saffron onto very vanilla then stamped the starfish onto this in So Saffron.  Stamp whatever image(s) you want onto the inside card panel.  I used the sand dollar in Sahara sand.  Last, I stamped my sentiment (You are unique and completely amazing), in Sahara sand on Sahara sand card stock.

Next, I die cut all the pieces out using the coordinating dies, except the sentiment, which I used a label die from the Tasteful Labels die set.  Now that all my pieces are stamped and cut, you can adhere them down.  I put dimensionals onto each piece, with mini ones on the bottom of the small shell as that piece if so small.  I placed the sand dollar in the lower right corner first, then the starfish overlapping a bit, then the small shell.  I adhered the sentiment in the center towards the top, and then added some opal rounds to the card and some wink of stella to the three shells.  Adhere the inside panel now, and you are done!

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Flirty Flamingo, folded at 4.25"
* 5.25" x 4" Basic White- for inside panel
* 3.75" x 5" Sand and Sea Designer Series Paper- I used the one that looks like sand
* 3.25" x 4.5" Sand and Sea Designer Series Paper- I used the one that is pink with shells all over it
* Scrap pieces of Sahara Sand, Soft Seafoam, and Very Vanilla

Thank You card using the Simply Elegant Suite

 Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  I hope your day is cheerful and full of fun crafting!  Today I am here to share with you a very simple, yet beautiful thank you card.  I made this using the Simply Elegant Suite that recently came out in our new annual catalog.  I just love the gorgeous papers!  I don't use Merry Merlot very often, but it was on my mind on my drive home from work and so I went with it- and I like it!

Let's go ahead and make the card!

How To:

Cut (and fold) your papers according to the dimensions listed below.  Now we stamp!  Stamp on the card base in Merry Merlot using the long border looking stamp along both the left and right side of the card.  Set the card base aside and stamp the "All the things you do are simply amazing" sentiment on the small very vanilla scrap, trying to keep it towards the bottom, but not all the way at the bottom.  Now stamp the inside very vanilla panel with the following: Merry Merlot borders on each side, like you did to the card base. A Basic Gray "Thank you" sentiment in the center, and the small image that reminds me of half a butterfly in Merry Merlot at diagonal corners of the sentiment (see image).  Go ahead and adhere the inside panel with you Stampin Seal and adhere the DSP to the front in the center.  Snip any extra DSP off.  Use the punch that comes in the suite to punch the sentiment that is on the very vanilla scrap.  (See image or video).  Place mini stampin dimensionals on the back of the sentiment and place it on your card.  You can tie your box onto the little notch on the sentiment piece either before or after adhering it to the card base.  Finally, using Clear Wink of Stella, do bit of smacking/spritzing to give the card a bit more glam.  Be careful not to get too much, like I did!  HA!  Your card is now complete!

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Merry Merlot card stock, folder in half at 4.25"
* 3" by 5.5" DSP of your choice (see image for which one I used)
* 1.5" by 3" (roughly) scrap of Very Vanilla
* 5.25" x 4" Very Vanilla for inside panel
