Make and Mail Monday #5- Pretty Perennials

Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  Today's blog post is Make and Mail #5 which features the Pretty Perennials stamp set, among several other great products.  I love this how this card turned out!  If you don't have this stamp set, I suggest you go get it now, as it is only available until the end of June.  I don't see how it can disappoint!

Let's get started with the card.

How To:

Cut and fold your papers according to the dimensions below.  Using the largest die from the Stitched with Whimsey die set, run it through your cut and emboss machine on the front of your card base. Set aside.   Stamp the stems to the bunch of flowers in Granny Apple Green (see picture below) going all around the edges of your card.  The center doesn't need to be one, since you are covering it with the sentiment piece, but feel free to cover the whole panel if you choose.  Leave enough space between each stem for the flower buds and if you don't want it to look uniform, turn your stamp in different directions as you go.  Next stamp the flower buds in Mango Melody and Highland Heather.  I did every other and then filled in the edges a bit with the flower buds as needed.  (I made a video that you can view here.)  Add more to your panel as you see fit.  I added more as I wanted to make sure it was fairly full.  I then trimmed my panel down by 1/8" on each side.  You do not need to do this step, I just like to do this sometimes.  Weird, I know.

Now, stamp in black StazOn onto your scrap piece of basic white.  I stamped the sentiment, "miles apart, but still in my heart" from the Lovely You stamp set.  I then die cut this piece using one of the labels from the Tasteful Labels dies, and die cut a large die from that in Mango Melody as well.  (See picture to see which dies I used.)

Now that you stamping and die cutting is done, pop up the panel using dimensionals.  Adhere to the card base.  Pop up the sentiment piece onto the mango melody piece then adhere to the center of the card using Stampin' seal.  Tie a double bow using some white bakers twine and adhere using a glue dot under the sentiment.  Your card is complete!
