New catalog and Sale-a-bration time!

Hello fellow stampers, crafters, and friends!  It has been a long time since I have posted.  You see, last October, my beloved husband passed away.  It tore my children and I apart, emotionally.  It has been a long road of helping each of us grieve, all in our own ways.  But, I am (hopefully) back to my blogging and I sure hope you join me once again.

Let's get started with today's project, which is super simple and a great way to use DSP.

Items needed for this card: (in no particular order)

* Amazing Phrases stamp set (**Sale-a-bration item)
* Thick Basic White card stock
* Basic Black card stock
* 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper
* Celebrate Everything DSP (**Host item)
* Black StazOn ink pad
* Tahitian Tide ink pad
* Parakeet Party ink pad
* Sweet Sorbet ink pad
* Blending Brushes
* Block H
* Opal Rounds
* Adhesive(s) of choice
* Stampin' Dimensionals
* Paper trimmer
* Stampin' Scrub (or something to clean your stamps)
* Stampin' Mist

Dimensions:

* 8.5" x 5.5" Thick Basic White card stock, folded in half at 4.25"
* 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" Basic Black card stock
* 3 1/8"x 3 1/8" In Color Glimmer Paper
* 3" x 3"  DSP

How to:

*Cut all of your card stock and DSP as stated in the dimensions
* Fold your card base in half at 4.25"
*Using blending brushes (or daubers) pick up some color from your ink pad and blend into the center of one of the firework-like images
* Repeat that step with the other two colors, eventually filling in all of the images, but leaving white spaces all around
* Adhere the newly blended DSP piece to the glimmer paper (use plenty of adhesive, as the glimmer paper is rough)
* Adhere this to the black mat
* Place dimensionals onto the back and set aside
* Stamp your sentiment (I used "Woo Hoo!") in StazOn Balck at the bottom of you card base.  If you need help with spacing, set the DSP piece onto the card, then line up your stamps
* Once stamped, adhere the DSP piece to the card base by taking the backs off the dimensionals
* Add Opal Rounds to the center of 3 of the firework-like images
* Stamp the inside as you see fit,  I used two sentiments, "to another year" and "around the sun"

Your card is complete!

  1. I recently found your You Tube channel as I was looking for cards made with the Pretty Perennials stamp set, then came to your blog. Reading your profile information, I was so very shocked to find that you're a "recent widow and mother of four"! :'( Locating the post where you tell of this, I just wanted to express my sincere condolences...from one SU demonstrator to another (only hobby for me). I cannot imagine the heartache and devastation!! Anyhow, I just wanted you to know that someone cares and said a prayer for your family. <3
