Hello fellow stampers, crafters, card makers, and friends! Thank you so much for coming to my blog! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend. Today is my third Make and Mail Monday. The card today is done using a new suite inn the new catalog. You will see that my directions here may be in a different order than I actually make the card in my video. That's OK! The order doesn't have to be exactly the same. So, let's get started with the card.
How to:
Cut your card stock to the dimensions listed below. Fold the half sheet of Basic Black to create your card base. Now, take the strip of gold foil and punch both ends using the Elegant Tag Punch. BUT WAIT! This part isn't like a usual punch. You will need to thread the paper into the back of the punch using the side you want punched. Then flip it and thread it again. (Please see my video for help.) Then punch the black strip in a similar fashion but using the other end (the rounded part of the punch). Set the black piece o the gold piece to make sure it is cut to fit with a nice border. If not, punch again. Next, stamp the large flourish like image from the Elegantly Said stamp set in the upper right and lower left corners of the basic black panel using Versamark. I stamped a little off the paper. Next, use your gold embossing powder to cover the Versamark then use your heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Set this piece aside. Now stamp the small black punched piece with your sentiment using Versamark, and emboss in gold. I used "For You" from the same stamp set. Last bit of stamping- stamp the inside very vanilla panel with whatever you choose in StazOn. I used "Wishing you a wonderful birthday".
Now we can put the card together! Adhere the gold panel (with the piece cut out of it) to the card base. Then adhere the black panel that is stamped with the flourish like image to the gold panel. Next, adhere the small black sentiment piece to the gold tag piece. Place dimensionals on the back and set aside. Grab some of the gold trim from the Simply Elegant Trim pack and wrap it around 4 fingers in a loose fashion 3 or 4 times. Twist this in the center to be like a "8" and adhere to the center of your card front. Now adhere the tag/sentiment piece over the top of the trim, and to finish off, adhere the inside panel to: you guessed it, the inside! Your card is complete!
Dimensions:
* 8.5" x 5.5" Basic Black card stock, folded at 4.25"
* 5.25" x 4" Gold foil
* 5.25" x 4" Very Vanilla
* 4 7/8" x 3 5/8" Basic Black
* Cut a large rectangle out of the center of the gold foil, leaving at least a .5" border all around
* Now cut the center piece into a strip that is about 1.75" x 4"
* Scrap piece of black- needs to be at least 1.5" x 2.5"
