Birthday! - Using the pieces we didn't use last time!

Hello stampers, crafters, card makers, and friends!  I sure hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today I want to share a very easy card with you that uses up the pieces from the "happy" we used in the last card.  I need to add more birthday cards to my stash and I wanted to use up some paper and the die cuts so I threw this together!

How to:

Cut your Bermuda Bay card stock to the dimensions listed below.  Grab a piece of DSP, I used the artistry blooms DSP, which will be retiring soon.  I used the largest stitched rectangle die to cut it out then I adhered it to my card base.  I then took the letters H A P P Y left from my last card (which used the playful alphabet dies) and adhered them to my card.  It works best if you adhere the center letter first, then work your way out.  In my video, which you can see here, you will notice that I forgot this little trick!  Oops!  The card still turned out fine though.

After HAPPY was adhered, I stamped the word "birthday", from the Happy little bit late birthday stamp (found in the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set) underneath using StazOn black.  Now here's a few tricks for you.  First, use a post it note to cover the words on the stamp that you do *not* want stamped.  Ink up the words you do want stamped and then take the post it note off.  Now you can stamp onto your card and will get only the word(s) that you want.  Also, StazOn ink dried fast.  Make sure to put the lid back on your ink pad as soon as you can as well as stamp quickly so that it doesn't dry onto your stamp.

Now that you have stamped, your card is nearly complete!  Using the Playing with Patterns resin dots, I added the Bermuda Bay dots to give a little bit of interest to the card.  The outside is now complete!  If you want to do your inside like mine, add a basic white panel. I used the "it's your day! Enjoy it" stamp from the same stamp set for the inside along with a strip of the same DSP as I used on the front.  Your card is complete!
